Please see the top section of the home page for this challenge to see additional context about King Abdullah Economic City to help guide you in the development of useful apps.
You will note that we have not included APIs because the city is still in its early stages of development and, as such, does not have a lot of data to work with. This challenge has been created to inspire the development community to help us buld on our early momentum to take the city to the next level.

Extended Deadline
Great News
By popular demand, we are extending the entry period for the King Abdullah Economic City Apps Challenge. The new submission deadline is 5:00 PM EDT on Friday May 15, 2014.
Now more people will be able to compete for the $50,000 in prizes.
In addition to requests for more time, we received great questions. In the next couple weeks, we will be gathering applicable data and context about King Abdullah Economic City to help entrants prepare the best apps possible. After we have collected the information, we will share it with you through another Update.
